The AG 5000 is a
turnkey, high performance platform designed for large public
access HotSpots like hotels, airports and convention centers. The AG 5000
is transport agnostic and enables the deployment of wired, wireless or
hybrid networks supporting up to 2,000 simultaneous users.
The
AG 5000 runs the NSE Core and offers several NSE Module and User
Count Upgrades so it can grow as your network and users change. The AG
5000 is a dedicated network appliance providing maximum uptime and
reliability unlike competitive offerings that are server-based that can be
plagued with long reboot and set up times or run Operating
Systems that are susceptible to virus attacks.
The AG 5000 is a standard 1U
high, rack mountable device that employs one fast Ethernet port to
interface with the router (network side) and two fast Ethernet ports
to interface with the aggregation equipment (subscriber side) within the
HotSpot/HotZone. The AG 5000 has one DB9 serial ports for Management and
to a hotel's Property Management System.
Note:
AG5000 will be discontinued shortly and it will be
replaced by
AG5500.
AG5500 and AG5000 are both running the same software and
therefore backwards compatible. AG5500 has additional
memory and faster processor than AG5000.
